Have you ever sat back and thought...
How did I even get here?
How am I still here?
Why do I keep ending up in the same kinds of situations?

I know I have.

More than once I've wondered if God was mad at me. I asked myself, What did I do wrong to deserve this?

But the truth is...

It wasn't because God was mad at me.

Many of the situations I found myself in were the result of decisions I had made. Not all of them, but enough that I had to stop pointing everywhere else and start looking at myself.

That wasn't easy.

I've made decisions that led me down roads I wish I had never taken. I've stayed in situations longer than I should have. I've repeated patterns because they were familiar, even when they weren't healthy.

Then one day I realized something.

The only person I can truly control is me.

I can't change other people.
I can't change the past.
I can't always change my circumstances overnight.

But I can change the way I think.

Instead of asking, "How did I get here?" I started asking, "What needs to change so I don't stay here?"

What decision do I need to make differently?

What lesson have I been avoiding?

What perspective do I need to have so I stop repeating the same cycle?

That shift changed everything.

I truly believe you don't have to create a whole new life overnight. It starts by creating a new perspective.

Every single morning is another opportunity to think differently, make one better decision, and take one step closer to the life God has for you.

Maybe today isn't the day your circumstances change.

But it can be the day your perspective does.

And sometimes that's exactly where a new life begins.
