If there is one thing I have learned over the years, it's this...
Purpose isn't built in one big moment. It's built in the small moments that most people don't see.
We all get excited when we start something new. We make plans, set goals, buy notebooks, create calendars, and tell ourselves, "This time I'm going to stick with it."
Then life happens.
We're tired.
Something unexpected comes up.
We don't feel inspired.
We convince ourselves we'll do it tomorrow.
Before we know it, tomorrow turns into next week.
Believe me...I've been there.
The other day I planned to record a video. Everything was in my head, and I knew exactly what I wanted to say. But I didn't do it.
I could have let that become another excuse to quit.
Instead, I decided to let it become a reminder.
Consistency isn't about never missing a day.
Consistency is about refusing to let one missed day become a missed purpose.
When I was in the Army, consistency wasn't optional. We trained whether we felt like it or not. We showed up because someone was depending on us. Looking back, I realize that same principle applies to the life God has called us to live.
Your purpose is depending on your consistency.
The people you're meant to encourage...
The lives you're meant to impact...
The opportunities waiting for you...
They all require you to keep showing up.
Not perfectly.
Just faithfully.
Some days you'll write a great blog.
Some days you'll make an amazing video.
Some days you'll simply take one small step.
Every one of those steps matters.
Far too many people quit because they think consistency means perfection.
It doesn't.
Consistency means you get back up.
You choose again.
You keep moving forward even when progress feels slow.
The truth is, purpose isn't usually found in the mountaintop moments.
It's found in the ordinary Tuesdays, the quiet mornings, and the days when no one is applauding you—but you keep going anyway.
Those are the days that shape your future.
If you're waiting until you feel motivated, you'll be waiting a long time.
Motivation comes and goes.
Purpose stays.
So today, don't worry about being perfect.
Just take the next step.
Write the post.
Record the video.
Make the phone call.
Take the walk.
Pray the prayer.
Whatever your next step is...
Take it.
Because consistency is what turns purpose into reality.
One faithful step at a time.
