Somewhere along the way, we were sold a lie. We were supposed to go to work, Having a job title was of utmost importance. Is it really though?
That purpose is a job title, a calling card, a platform.
That it’s some giant thing you’ll do someday when you’re finally qualified, healed, or ready.
Sis… no. You will never be qualified enough. You will never be healed and really we rarely are ready. We have to create it.
Purpose isn’t a destination. It’s a daily decision to show up as the woman God created you to be — in your home, in your heart, in your healing.
What if your purpose isn’t tied to a paycheck or a platform…
…but to your presence?

Encouraging the woman in the grocery line who looks like she’s barely hanging on. Let me tell you a story. My granddaughter used to find something nice to say about almost everyone we ran into. She seen a lady at Walmart one day. This lady looked frazzled and wore out. My granddaughter walked over to her. Left me standing at cashier and told this woman that she was beautiful. I kid you not this lady started crying. She told my granddaughter thank you and that she needed that.

Raising grandbabies with wisdom your younger self never had. My grandchildren usually teach me something but when I teach them something and it makes them feel better about something they didn't know how to do it makes me feel so great. They may not have to go through that hard knock like I did.

Serving soup with a smile even when your own cup feels empty. This is such a big thing. I don't know how many times my cup feels empty but when I see someone else I greet them with a smile and a kind word. It usually makes them smile which fills my cup.

Telling your story so someone else doesn’t feel alone in theirs. I was just talking to a person about this today. If I tell my story then maybe just maybe it will help someone down a path that won't hurt as bad as when I went down it. That just makes it better.
You don’t have to go viral to be valuable.
You don’t have to be famous to be faithful.
You don’t have to be perfect to walk in purpose.
My Own Wake-Up Call
I used to think I needed a new job or big stage to “find my purpose.” But purpose found me in the pew of a church one morning — broken, separated from my husband, tears streaming as “Nobody” by Casting Crowns played.
That day, I realized I wasn’t a nobody. And neither are you. Everyone is someone and everyone has a purpose. You are here for a reason even if you don't know what it is yet.
We rise when we understand that God doesn’t waste a single step. Even the detours. Especially the detours.
