How many times have you heard someone say, "I just feel stuck"?

Maybe you've even said it yourself.

The truth is, I don't think most people are really stuck.

I think they're scared.

Scared of failing.
Scared of making the wrong decision.
Scared of what other people might think.
Scared of starting over.

And if I'm being honest, I've been there too.

When I left the Army after more than 17 years of service, I didn't just leave a job. I left an identity.

For years I knew exactly who I was. I was a Soldier. I was a leader. I had a mission. Every day had structure and purpose.

Then one day... it was gone.

I became a realtor, and while I enjoyed helping people, something still felt missing. I knew there was more I was supposed to do, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

Later, I stepped into life coaching because I knew my experiences could help others. But that didn't mean I was overflowing with confidence. There were days I wondered if anyone would take me seriously. Days I questioned whether I was really making a difference.

Looking back now, I realize something.

I wasn't stuck.

I was standing in the doorway between the life I knew and the life God was calling me to.

That's an uncomfortable place to be.

It's easier to stay where life is familiar, even when you're unhappy, than it is to step into something you've never done before.

But growth has never happened inside our comfort zones.

Sometimes we convince ourselves we're waiting for the "right time."

The right time to start the business.

The right time to go back to school.

The right time to leave the unhealthy relationship.

The right time to chase the dream God placed in our heart.

Can I tell you something?

There will probably never be a perfect time.

There is only the decision to move forward.

That doesn't mean you won't be afraid.

It means you decide your purpose is bigger than your fear.

So today, I want you to ask yourself three simple questions:

Notice I didn't say, "Change your whole life today."

Just take one step.

One phone call.

One application.

One chapter.

One prayer.

One conversation.

One decision.

Those small steps have a way of becoming life-changing journeys.

If there's one thing my own life has taught me, it's this:

I've had to restart more than once.

I've had to pivot more than once.

And every single time I thought my story was ending, God was actually beginning a new chapter.

So if you've been telling yourself you're stuck, maybe it's time to look a little closer.

Maybe you're not stuck at all.

Maybe you're simply standing on the edge of your next beginning.

Take the step.

You don't have to see the whole path.

You just have to be willing to move.

Because restarting isn't failure.

Restarting is pivoting into your purpose.

What is one thing you've been putting off because fear has convinced you you're "stuck"? I'd love to hear about it in the comments.
