Let me tell you something nobody really prepares you for…

When you decide to pivot your life—
whether it’s after a loss, a transition, a deployment, a divorce, or just realizing “this ain’t it anymore”—
you don’t always feel strong.

Sometimes… you feel heavy.

Sometimes you feel tired in a way that sleep doesn’t fix.
Sometimes your mind won’t slow down… or it won’t start at all.

And if we’re being honest?

Depression doesn’t always look like laying in the bed all day.
Sometimes it looks like showing up… but not really being there.

I’ve had those moments.
Where I knew I needed to move forward…
but everything in me felt like it was standing still.

So if you’re in a pivot season and fighting depression at the same time…

This is for you.

🔥 1. Stop Trying to “Fix It Fast”

You already know this one firsthand.

Every time we try to rush healing… we make decisions we have to recover from later.

Pivoting is not a panic move—it’s a process.

✨ Pause is not failure. It’s wisdom.

🧠 2. Name What You’re Feeling (For Real, Not Cute)

Not “I’m just tired.”
Not “I’m okay.”

Say it:

👉 “I feel lost.”
👉 “I feel disconnected.”
👉 “I feel like I don’t belong right now.”

You can’t heal what you won’t acknowledge.

🙏🏽 3. Stay Connected to God—Even When You Feel Numb

This is where people pull away… but it’s where you need to lean in.

And listen—this doesn’t have to be deep or perfect.

Some days it’s just:

“God… I don’t even have the words today.”

That counts.

🚶🏽‍♀️ 4. Move Your Body (Even If It’s Just a Little)

You don’t need a full workout.

Just move.

Walk. Stretch. Step outside.

When I learned to run in my 30s, it wasn’t just physical—it helped clear things mentally too.

Movement shifts more than your body… it shifts your mind.

📞 5. Don’t Isolate (Even When You Want To)

Depression will tell you:

👉 “Stay to yourself.”
👉 “Nobody understands.”
👉 “You’ll be fine alone.”

That’s a lie.

You don’t need a crowd—just one safe person.

✍🏽 6. Get It Out of Your Head and Onto Paper

Your thoughts will run wild if you let them stay unchallenged.

Write it out.

All of it.

No filter. No judgment.

Then go back and look at it…

You’ll start to see what’s real and what’s fear talking.

🔁 7. Focus on One Small Win at a Time

Not your whole life.
Not your five-year plan.

Just today.

👉 Get up
👉 Make the call
👉 Drink the water
👉 Show up

That’s how you rebuild.

One small, faithful step at a time.

Here’s what I want you to hear…

Just because you feel low doesn’t mean you’re not rising.

Just because it’s hard doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.

And just because you’re in a heavy moment…
doesn’t mean your life is stuck there.

✨ You are still in motion—even when it feels slow.

So if today all you did was keep going?

That’s not small.

That’s strength.

💬 What’s one small thing you can do today to take care of you?

And if you’re in a pivot season and need help finding your next step…
